Day 2: Pints
May 3
2025
Cliffs of Moher adventure followed by Durty Nelly's
Bunratty, Ireland
Events are private
Please Log inWe'll be kicking off the celebrations with a welcome party on Thursday 01 May, starting at 7.30pm.
There'll be drinks & light bites, but not a dinner, so we'd recommend to fill up in advance!
Below are a few options for dinner prior to the welcome drinks:
ON-SITE AT DROMOLAND
Earl of Thomond at Dromoland Castle: the fanciest option, and reservations are definitely recommended. You can reserve through the link.
Fig Tree at Dromoland Castle: more casual option, and you can reserve through the link.
Shannigans at the Inn at Dromoland: gastro pub
OTHER OPTIONS IN THE VICINITY
The Hunter's Lodge in Newtown market (4 mins drive) is a casual gastro-pub
Take a taxi into Ennis (15 min) for loads of options!
The wedding ceremony will take place at the Walled Garden at Dromoland Castle at 4pm. In the (likely) event of rain, the area will be sheltered with a marquee. We'll have some blankets for those who are chilly and want to bundle up, but please consider wearing a jacket and sensible shoes (stiletto heels might sink into the grass!).
Immediately after the ceremony, we will have a cocktail hour (drinks, light bites), followed by dinner and dancing...all of these events are at Dromoland Castle. We cant' wait to celebrate with you!
Looking for something to do before the wedding ceremony starts at 4pm? Check out our "Things to Do" section here!
As casual as possible
Make sure you wear comfortable (and ideally waterproof) shoes...the path to the cliffs can get muddy!
We're planning a relaxed start on Saturday morning. Once we've all blown off the cobwebs, we've organized a bus tour to the Cliffs of Moher which will leave at 12.30pm from the castle. We will arrive back at Dromoland around 3:30/4pm...plenty of time to freshen up before Durty Nelly's!
There'll be sandwiches, hot drinks, and maybe even a drop of whiskey available on the bus.
When you RSVP, please let us know if you'll be able to attend this adventure so we can ensure we have enough transportation and food for you!
If you'd rather spend the day enjoying the activities at Dromoland or sleeping off the hangover, no worries...we'll see you at Durty Nelly's ;)
Get ready to let loose! Durty Nelly's is a well known local haunt, located in the town of Bunratty, directly in front of Bunratty Castle. There'll be live Irish music and tasty food to keep you going.
